Modular male connector, 8P8C (RJ-45), round, solid, cat. 6
Modular male connectors are used for terminating wires in phone or computer installations. There also exists a shielded type of male connectors used for environments with high level of electromagnetic disturbances. The body of a male connector is made from polycarbon, contacts from gilded phosphor bronze (3µm layer of gold).
